The annual national Rainbow Gathering was held in the national forest near Boulder, Wyoming, from July 1 to 7. Approximately 15´000 people of all ages gathered to make a stand for world peace and to celebrate an alternative lifestyle and mother nature. "Cream and Sugar" was right there to minister to our target population! We attended the previous year (in Arkansas), but this is the first year we were able to take our trailer.
This year we set up our "Cream and Sugar" - Trailer next to the trail head leading to the main camp. Everybody going to or coming from camp was offered coffee, oatmeal or ramen noodle soup. We had a lot of great conversations and had the opportunity to pray with people every now and then. The campers loved our little mobile coffee shop. They were touched by the cozy atmosphere and many hearts opened up for the love of God. We are grateful for the impact we could have in the lives of the individual people and in the spiritual world by just being a bearer of God's love in a place like this.

Closer To God
During the last Rainbow Gathering in Arkansas, we met all kinds of people. We had really good discussions and made new friends. However, last year we felt that if we want to get in touch with more people we needed to have a kind of visible base for our ministry. Our "Cream And Sugar" trailer that we are using for the same purpose every day in Austin seemed to be the perfect tool for this!
The people this year were only too grateful to be in our trailer and to take some time to rest. At the Gathering, everything is outside. Even when you are having a meal at one of the many kitchens you are sitting under a tarp, at best. At the "Cream And Sugar" trailer you could come in and feel right at home. People repeatedly expressed that it was comfortable and peaceful.
But that was not all. In the many talks we had, some people drew closer to Jesus, and we could pray for them.
Tom said, for example:
"I had really lost my belief in God. I was in search of him but I always felt like I was running in circles going nowhere. Through the days I spent with with you, I really came closer to God and will be more serious about living for him."
We, too, were touched by the experience of the Rainbow Gathering. Thank you all for your prayers and support which helped make this a great success for our team!
