How does someone starts to have an incipient interest in missions or mission trips?
Daniel, a participant of our last seminar on missions, reports:
“Some time ago me and my family went on a journey to the Philippines. I was totally fascinated with the country and its people and I knew I had to go there again. At the same time my faith became a matter of special importance to me.
I was wondering if I can do my civil service on the Philippines instead of doing it in Germany. And, are there any organizations which would send people to the Philippines in order to do their civil service over there? Yes, there are! One of these organizations is HELP International.
After contacting them I found out that they were running a one week seminar on the topic of missions so I signed up for it. My family tried to dampen my enthusiasm: Don’t you expect too much, okay?!” But my hopes were still high when I
left by train to go to Lüdenscheid.”
After the seminar we talked with Daniel to find out if he liked it. Here is what he said:
“It got better day by day. The teachings by Rick Joyner and the staff from HELP International, the exchange of ideas with other participants and missionaries was just great! It really encouraged me to move forward towards the Philippines and my civil service over there.”
We are happy for the positive feedback we got from Daniel and the other participants. We’d love to see many more released into their first or further steps into missions.
